Crunchy potato fries

Would you believe me if I told you that to make these super crunchy fries no boiling, no frying, no air-fryer and no whatever is required?

Just potatoes, spices, good quality olive oil and some starch to get that heavenly crispiness and crunch! Yes, as simple as that.

You can make the same recipe with sweet potatoes and play around with your favourite spices combination.


3 big potatoes

3 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika

3 tsp oregano

½ tsp garlic powder

1 tbsp nutritional yeast

2 tbsp cornstarch


Preheat the oven at 200°C Fan. Peel the potatoes, dry with a kitchen towel then cut into sticks.

Dry again any excess liquid with a tea towel then place the potatoes sticks into a bowl. Add all the ingredients, with exception of the starch, and mix together.

Once combined, add the starch and mix again.

Place on a baking tray well distanced and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes or until golden.

Enjoy warm with a sprinkle of sea salt flakes and vegan mayo.
