Supper Club - Terms & Conditions

Valid from September 11th 2023

Dear Foodie,

Thank you for showing your interest in our dining experience at the Cooking Flea Supper Club.

Before submitting your booking request, I’d like to invite you to carefully read our T&Cs. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at thecookingflea@gmail.com

GENERAL RULES

  1. You will arrive at the scheduled start time. The start time is at 7pm and you are kindly asked to leave no later than 10pm.

  2. You will follow good hygiene procedures upon arrival and throughout the event.

  3. You will not attend if you are ill in the 72 hours before your supper club event with any symptoms of diseases or infections (e.g. flu, diarrhoea, vomiting etc.). This is to protect our customers and staff as these sorts of illnesses can be spread through food. In the event that you are unwell and cannot attend, please refer to the cancellation rules below.

  4. You will not attend if you have displayed COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive in the last 72 hours.

  5. You may be refused entry if we suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, are ill with a communicable disease or that you are engaging in inappropriate behaviour. The Cooking Flea Supper Club reserves the right to ask any participants to leave at any time in the event that their behaviour, attitude and or conduct is deemed by The Cooking Flea Supper Club staff to be disruptive, offensive to others, dangerous, reckless, and or harmful in any way, both physically and verbally.

  6. You may be asked to be photographed or filmed during the event with your permission. The Cooking Flea Supper Club may use any photographs and/or recordings featuring you and may cut, edit and adapt as necessary for use on The Cooking Flea website, and other social media platforms. If you are not ok with this, please do let us know anytime.

  7. You must be over 18. We can accept children above the age of 15 if they are accompanied by an adult at all times.

  8. Depending on the size and location of the event, the minimum and maximum number of places available may vary.

  9. Pets are not allowed.

  10. We do not take responsibility for any lost or damaged property of yours at the hosting venue.

  11. In the unlikely event that some ingredients are not available, the booked menu may be subject to variations.

  12. Each scheduled supper club night has a fixed menu and this cannot be changed.

  13. We may review and change our menus depending on the seasonality of the fresh products.

  14. Due to licensing rules, we are unable to sell alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

  1. Upon booking, we do require the number of people you are booking for, their full names and chosen lead guest.

  2. We do request full payment upon booking. You will be sent a link to pay.

  3. Places are booked on a first come first served basis upon receipt of payment. Once we receive your payment, you will receive the booking confirmation.

  4. We will provide accurate directions and reconfirm the address of the venue three days before the event.

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULE TERMS

Unlike restaurants, supper club cooks care fully plan their budget and ingredients around the number of guests that have booked. Therefore, cancellations have a huge impact on cooks and leave empty spaces around the table.

If you are unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible. The following applies:

  1. For cancellations up to 72h before the event, an 80% refund is provided (20% fee applies)

  2. For cancellations between 72h and 24h before the event, a 20% refund is provided (80% fee applies)

  3. For cancellations within 24h of the event, the whole amount is forfeited.

Alternatively, you can name someone else to replace you and avoid the above-mentioned fees. We would need to receive full names and dietary requirements of the person/people taking your place(s).

Reschedules count as a cancellation followed by a new booking, therefore the above cancellation rules apply.

In case of cancellation or service disruption on our end (i.e. staff illness or technical issues) happening at any time, we will inform you as soon as possible and we will:

  1. Offer to reschedule your dinner for the next available event
    or

  2. Provide a full refund

GIFT VOUCHERS

If you have purchased a gift voucher for someone else, the following rules apply:

  1. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  2. The voucher's value corresponds to the cost of one dinner per person. If you are purchasing a gift voucher for more than one person, you will be issued different gift cards with an individual number each.

  3. There is a £3 surcharge to cover postage fees. If purchasing multiple gift cards for multiple addresses, a £3 postage fee will apply to each order.

  4. Vouchers are not valid in combination with any other offer or discount.

  5. Vouchers are valid for a single transaction/booking only and hence will be applied in full.

  6. Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full.

  7. There’s no replacement for lost or stolen gift vouchers.

  8. The expiry date and number will be displayed on the voucher.

  9. To redeem a voucher, please quote the number on your voucher when requesting the booking.

  10. Once a booking is made, standard GENERAL RULES, BOOKING and CANCELLATION TERMS will apply as per the sections above.

  11. We periodically review our supper club prices. If you have a voucher whose value is cheaper than the cost of the dinner you are willing to book, the cost difference will be collected upon booking.

FOOD ALLERGIES

  1. You will inform us upon booking of any allergies, food intolerances, disabilities, diabetes, pregnancy etc.

  2. The Cooking Flea Supper Club provides allergen information on their menu and can provide a list of full ingredients included upon request. Please notify us upon booking if you need us to amend a dish for you and we will try to do our best to accommodate your request.

  3. Because of the nature of the kitchen and the type of foods handled, we cannot avoid the risk of cross-contamination. If you or anyone else in your group have a severe allergy, please inform us when booking. We reserve the right to refuse your booking.

  4. If you fail to inform us about your allergies, we are not held responsible for any consequences.
