Clementine galette

Who said that winter is not as colorful as spring and summer? In its own way, with its veggies and fruits, winter can bring joy and colours onto our tables too. I mean, look at this galette: doesn’t it make you feel happy by just looking at it?


Now, close your eyes and imagine the flaky and crunchy texture of the base along with the sweetness of the jam and the sourness of citrus... And imagine enjoying it with a warm cup of tea in front of the fireplace. Heaven, right?

INGREDIENTS:

100g all-purpose flour

100g wholemeal flour

50g plant-based milk

80g vegetable oil

1 tsp cinnamon

Salt, a pinch

4 clementines

2 tbsp jam of your choice

Crushed hazelnuts





INSTRUCTIONS:

Mix the flours, milk, oil, cinnamon and salt together to form a smooth dough ball. Leave it to rest for 30 minutes. In the meantime, peel and slice about 4 clementines.


Stretch the dough with a rolling pin on parchment paper, about 4 mm thick. Spread 2 heaped tbsp of jam, then top with the clementines. Fold the edges and bake at 200°C for 25 minutes.


Before serving, sprinkle with crushed hazelnuts and enjoy!
