Cooking Classes - Terms & Conditions

Valid from November 1st 2023

Dear Foodie,

Thank you for showing your interest in our cooking class experience at the Cooking Flea.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at

  1. You will arrive a little bit before the scheduled start time so we can get ready for the class with a short introduction of what we are going to cover.

  2. You will follow good hygiene procedures upon arrival and throughout the class.

  3. You will not attend if you are ill in the 72 hours before the class with any symptoms of diseases or infections (e.g. flu, diarrhoea, vomiting etc.). This is to protect the staff as these sorts of illnesses can be spread through food. In the event that you are unwell and cannot attend, please refer to the cancellation rules below.

  4. You may be refused entry if we suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, are ill with a communicable disease or that you are engaging in inappropriate behaviour. The Cooking Flear reserves the right to ask any participants to leave at any time in the event that their behaviour, attitude and or conduct is deemed by The Cooking Flea staff to be disruptive, offensive to others, dangerous, reckless, and or harmful in any way, both physically and verbally.

  5. You may be asked to be photographed or filmed during the class with your permission. The Cooking Flea may use any photographs and/or recordings featuring you and may cut, edit and adapt as necessary for use on The Cooking Flea website, and other social media platforms. If you are not ok with this, please do let us know anytime.

  6. You must be over 18.

  7. Pets are not allowed.

  8. We do not take responsibility for any lost or damaged property of yours at the class hosting venue.

  9. In the unlikely event that some ingredients are not available, the session plan menu may be subject to variations.

  10. We may review and change our session plan menu depending on the seasonality of the fresh products.

  11. You are welcome to bring your own drinks to enjoy with the food cooked at the end of the class.

  12. You are strongly encouraged to bring empty lunch boxes to take home any leftover food.

  1. Upon booking, we do require the number of people attending, their full names and dietary requirements.

  2. We do request full payment upon booking. You will be sent a link to pay if you are purchasing a private cooking class or workshop.

  3. Once we receive your payment, the class counts as confirmed.

  4. For private cooking classes, we will provide accurate directions and reconfirm the address of the venue as soon as the class is confirmed.

We carefully plan cooking classes based on the number of attendees attending, the cost of ingredients, recipes covered and hours spent creating and organizing the session plan. Therefore, cancellations have a huge impact on us.

If you are unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible. The following applies:

  1. For cancellations up to 72h before the class, an 80% refund is provided (20% fee applies)

  2. For cancellations between 72h and 24h before the class, a 20% refund is provided (80% fee applies)

  3. For cancellations within 24h of the class, the whole amount is forfeited.

Alternatively, you can name someone else to replace you. We would need to receive the full names and dietary requirements of the person/people taking your place(s).

In case of cancellation or service disruption on our end (i.e. staff illness or technical issues) happening at any time, we will inform you as soon as possible and we will:

  1. Offer to reschedule your class

  2. Provide a full refund

If you have purchased a gift voucher for someone else to attend a class, the following rules apply:

  1. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  2. The voucher's value corresponds to the cost of one class per person. If you are purchasing a gift voucher for more than one person, you will be issued different gift cards with an individual number each.

  3. There is a £3 surcharge to cover postage fees. If purchasing multiple gift cards for multiple addresses, a £3 postage fee will apply to each order.

  4. Vouchers are not valid in combination with any other offer or discount.

  5. Vouchers are valid for a single transaction/booking only and hence will be applied in full.

  6. Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full.

  7. There’s no replacement for lost or stolen gift vouchers.

  8. The expiry date and number will be displayed on the voucher.

  9. To redeem a voucher, please quote the number on your voucher when booking a class.

  10. Once a booking is made, standard GENERAL RULES, BOOKING and CANCELLATION TERMS will apply as per the sections above.

  1. You will inform us upon booking of any allergies, food intolerances, disabilities, diabetes, pregnancy etc.

  2. The Cooking Flea provides allergens information beforehand and can provide a list of full ingredients included upon request.

  3. Please notify us upon booking if you need us to amend a dish for you and we will try to do our best to accommodate your request.

  4. Because of the nature of the kitchen and the type of foods handled, we cannot avoid the risk of cross-contamination. If you or anyone else in your group have a severe allergy, please inform us when booking. We reserve the right to refuse your booking.

  5. If you fail to inform us about your allergies, we are not held responsible for any consequences.
